Windfall Journal - Toi Et Moi Engagement Rings

As we welcome in May we also welcome in our new engagement collection, which is set to launch by the end of the month entitled: Toi Et Moi.
Meaning “you and me” in French, Toi Et Moi engagement rings are typically not one but TWO stones (lucky you!) worn on one ring symbolic of YOU AND ME. As Spice Girls so famously put it, "when two become one"
Toi Et Moi rings were popular in the last 19th and early 20th century. In 1776 former French Commander, Napoleon Bonapart gave his partner Josephine Beauharnais a Toi Et Moi ring made with a sapphire and a diamond.
In 2013 the ring went for around 730,000 Euros = $1.2 MIL AUD at auction, nearly 50x more than anticipated!!!!
Toi et Moi rings enjoyed popularity through the Victorian Era and into the 20th Century. President John F. Kennedy gave an emerald and diamond version to Jackie O, with glittering marquise cut accent diamonds curving around the main gems and cascading into the shoulders.
This design symbolises the entwining of two souls, the twinning of two hearts.
Today the Toi et Moi ring is more than just an engagement ring and can be given as a promise ring, or simply as a token of love. A nice way to add deeper meaning to this piece is to choose a ring set with your partners birthstone. Even better, customise your ring with both of your birthstones for the ultimate romantic symbol.
Our Toi Et Moi Collection launches at the end of the month. Fully customisable with stones of your choice or ours.
